Yeah, a lot of what Shell said. Except the gambling. Oh, and the fitness. There was that therapy thing, too... Must be something else.
Tammy, Alex, &I I losst track of who else, we're always praying for our "family" here. If you ever need to talk, zip something off to me.
Italy, huh?
I would like to comment to everyone... But u know how this tired thing goes right? So instead I wish everyone a good week!!
Me? Just getting on by this week!!! Looking forward to the weekend!!
Oh and sadly we are leaving Maine this week... Our camper is coming home and we gave up our camping lot. My husbands family has a large no animal farm that we will home base ourselves next year and travel around a bit instead of stationary. Going to miss the state of Maine but I have a bucket list to get working on for next summer :)
Sarah - so glad to read the help with the meds :) Glad you made it through your move too.
Tammy, I'll pray for you. Not sure what the surgery is, but I certainly understand being prepped for all potentials. Looking forward to your return to us.
Hi Alex, hope some of that fatigue lifts for you :)
Lu - get the biggin, I so want to get my gamble on haha. But, hubby doesn't ever want to bring me! lol Maybe that's why.
Cubbies - Wishing you all the best with Tecfidera! I too look forward to seeing how everyone gets along on it.
Oh, Italy Kyle - have a blast! Be safe :)
Quizzle-sticks - Hope the PT continues to reduce that pain, so you can reap the benefits and get some strength back :) Love seeing you here on the forum again.
Dennis - the place looks like just what the doctor ordered. I'm happy for you and hope you are getting settled in.
I've been terribly absent. And, I'm very sorry for that. I feel very behind with all you have going on in your lives. There is not a day I don't think of you all.
But, I'm doing fine. I've been going to fitness classes two times a week, and I may increase it to three. Two is doing me right for sure. I just had to know the difference between MS weakness, weakness in general, and I'm finding out. I have gotten so much strength back. And, it feels good. Some things may never change I'm learning, but I'm still hammering away at it anyway. Juuuuuust by chance.
My balance is so much better. Early on, I'd have to push off the wall during certain things so I didn't fall over during (like lunges), and I rarely have to do that now. So, my legs have strengthened bigtime.
That, and my arms have made the most improvement. I have to get back with the neuro and decide what I'm going to do with therapy, so that is my next goal to make a decision.
This was more of a weekly update, so I apologize for that, but felt it was a good spot to do it on.
Have a great rest of your week.
-Shell
I have taken the liberty of posting a picture of Dennis's house in my photo section.
Well I'll be heading back to TN in a day or two. Can't do much else up here in Maine without having gas for heat, cooking, and hot water. So I'll be making another trip up here the middle of next week. I'm tempted to just stay up here, but with having to drive to town for every meal and gas prices I'd be bankrupt before the gas was installed. LOL
As Sarah intimated I bought her house up here, just couldn't pass it up. 68.9 acres of nothing around but me.
My brother is coming out from OR to help me finish off getting my TN house ready for sale and getting the new place set up for my limitations. I haven't seen my brother since our Mom died several years ago, so this will be nice.
Dennis
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm sure everything will be fine. I'll check in as soon as I can.
In case it takes a while though, (((Hugs for everyone!)))
Tammy
Tammy, my thoughts are with you.
Italy??
Dennis, I'm so happy for you to have moved to a cooler clime! YIPPEE!! (I hope)
Today is my final checkout from Rehab Medicine and my Tysabri infusion.
Tomrrow I continue ankle PT and am finally seeing some reduction in pain when I dorsiflex it.
I will continue to do my 17 upper body exercises, my core exercises and my ankle stuff. It has finally cooled down here!

Tammy I hope you get through the surgery.
Italy sounds great.
Same old same old for me, infusions once a week, chemo once a month.
I am pretty fatigued.
Alex
Italy? Maine? Hospital? Thats sure a wide range of locales. I hope everyone is exactly where they need to be at this time. I have another five day work week and not much else going on. We're hopping out of town on Saturday for a quick overnight - orchards on the itinerary to get some good, fresh apples and then to the Toledo casino to get some money, I hope!
Havea great week, everyone!
Laura
If anyone needs me I'm in Italy all week, Umbria to be specific :-)
Kyle
Tammy - keeping you in my thoughts and best wishes for a successful surgery with a speedy recovery!
Hi Sarah -
I'm going to request Tecfidera next week as well, you will have to let me know how it goes for you!
I had my 2nd MRI, first with contrast this morning. It is a 6 month follow up as well as tool for my 2nd opinion/Neuro. The MRI machine reminds me that I'm in this for the long haul. I think I'm having a somber day.
Otherwise, enjoying the much needed rain and cooler weather that has accompanied it. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Sarah, I'm so glad you were able to get Biogen to help with the cost of your medication! Gives me hope!
As for me, I'm preparing for surgery. It's a fairly serious surgery, and just in case, I'm getting my affairs in order. (I know that sounds overly dramatic-as I have no plans to die- but I do think it's better to get these things done- just in case. ) I'm also praying (literally) to come through without any complications, and no resulting disease activity.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Tammy
