Muscle fascinations in the same spot

I'm not sure why but it feels like someone is tapping my stomach constantly. My eyes and arm/leg twitches once in a while. These days. I haven't felt any twitching in any of those spots but only on my stomach. It literally feels like my organ stomach is twitching. It's been constantly twitching for about a week now and it's starting to get annoying. I was doing some research and thought maybe I have benign fasciculation syndrome, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else have this?

I believed I had this.  I've had ALS ruled out twice because of fasciculations.  Once ALS was ruled out, my neurologist was not interested in diagnosing them as anything.  At one point they were awful.  I did find out I was deficient in magnesium -- since I've been supplementing (1.5 years now), they have gradually reduced to almost nothing.

I haven't had large, visible fasciculations in ages -- I do still twitch, especially after exercise, but it's minor and  ignorable :).

It might be a good idea to get your magnesium level checked to see if this could be an issue for you.

If your magnesium is off so can your potassium.

Actually, good dark chocolate is a pretty good source of magnesium .. when I was pregnant with my kiddoes, I wish someone had told me that.  My chocolate cravings made me put on a bunch of weight!  All along I was magnesium deficient.

Having said that, there are better sources of magnesium ... nuts and seeds, dark greens -- look it up.  And if you end up supplementing, don;t use magnesium oxide.  There are more available sources.

I'd get tested first though -- the blood test isn't that accurate but if you are deficient with the blood test you are REALLY deficient.  A magnesium load test is more accurate.  Also make sure you are getting enough calcium -- honestly, I wish I had known when I was your age that a lousy diet would cause so many issues at my age.

Do what you can now :).

Oh! I didn't know magnesium level causes this. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten any nutritious foods and eat only candy and chocolate these days...
Thanks for the help :D!
