Steaming again about VA Health care Lack of

Several weeks ago I had asked to get an appointment with my eye doctor as I am due for my annual exam. As suspected there was no indication in my records of the request being forwarded to my PC as required. All communication are suppose to be entered in my records.

While I was checking my records I decided to also check out my request for them to get me an emergency supply of my one BP medication as I had forgotten to bring it with me when I went to Maine in August. I told them that I would not get back home for about 1 week and request 1 weeks RX to be filled at my expense.

The call from me is listed as being received by the TeleCare Nurse (A RN) at 10:10AM on the 8th. and was sent to my PC at 10:12. This listed my cell phone number as the number to call.

The next entry was on the 14th at 2:39PM in which was noted "I apologize. Please call in if pt is still out. Thank you." This was signed by my PC.

The next and last entry occurred on the 19th at 2:14PM
"unable to reach vet by phone, multiple attempts made since 8/14/13. Signed by LPN of my PC.

There was only one call made by the nurse and it was to my home phone not my cell phone. This was made on 8/14 at about 2:40PM according to my phone at home.

So not only didn't they try to get me my medication until a week later, then they lied about calling me.

Will this craziness ever stop?  

It's not that they don't have a clue, it's because they lack the motivation to do the right thing.

Some people are there to get a paycheck and do as little as possible, some don't even care how it affects another human being and are just lazy.  Imagine if it were the RN or LPN's mother? Hmmm?  Let's see how they'd respond to such incompetence, and deliberate at that.

Sounds a lot like our mail order Rx outfit.  It would be comical if it didn't matter, but these people don't seem to have a clue how much distress they cause for people in need.  I sometimes wonder if they don't get their kicks by seeing how much they can foul up & still keep their jobs.
