If you check out the list of doctors/scientists that they are working with I believe you will come to the same conclusions. The institutions that are affiliated with this project would not be lending their good name to something that wasn't serious.
Also, they are structured as a non-profit, so if they come up with the cure for MS, the money made off any drugs will go right back in for more research into other diseases.
Their largest corporate donor is the CEO of Intuit, the software company that makes Quicken, Quickbooks and all sorts of other accounting and financial software packages. He donated $3 million to the funds. That is a serious chunk of change.
The president of the foundation has MS himself - was dx'd almost 30 years ago. their website is myelinrepair.org
