Neuro Psych exam for cognitive issues--what do they do?

Hi everyone-
As I recently posted -- my neuro said I don't have any neuro issues. I emailed him and asked what could explain my symptoms and his answer was there are "other" explanations other than neurological/medical reasons I would have these symptoms. So let's see...if the symptoms are not "medical" than what does that leave???? Oh yea--that I am making this up and it is all in my head. Argghhh....

So I asked for a neuro psych referral so that I can just out this to rest.

My questions are- for any of you that have had a nuero psych exam, what do they do?

What can I expect?

Will the results help at all with a diagnosis of MS even though the neuro says there is nothing wrong?

How can this exam help prove I am not a nut case?

Thanks everyone! As always I am soooo appreciative of your input.

I just posted a write up about the NeuroPsych exam I went through this morning. It should give you some idea of what it is like.
