I wanted to let everyone know that I heard from Sheila. She wanted to let her forum family know she is OK. Her and Rich just got back home from their second trip to a state park in Indiana. Sheila and Rich had a great time, except they learned that two trips in a row is too much for her.
Last Monday morning, (when they were at the beginning of the second trip), her pain level was very high, and she could not sit up and get out of bed. So Rich needed to help her to sit up and to get out of bed. Sheila has developed severe shoulder and upper arm pain and weakness, and poor hand coordination which all together makes it very hard to type on a computer and post to the group. When she makes a mistake on a post, she loses everything. At least on a regular email, you can save it to draft and then go back to it.
Sheila asks that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has a neurologist appointment on Tuesday afternoon. The GI doc said her bowel problem is neurological. She is hoping she can get a MS diagnosis tomorrow and get some treatment.
Sheila is a strong, courageous woman and a much loved long time contributor to the forum. I am sure we are all hoping she will get diagnosed and offered medication. She did say that Tramadol and Diazepam are not helping with the shoulder pain and arm weakness.
Good Luck tomorrow Sheila. You know your forum family members will be there with you in spirit at the neurologist.
