Hugs, take good care of your self and with fingers crossed things will be better sailing for awhile!
Be good...........JJ
Thanks for checking in. Hopefully you'll soon feel like a car hit you, then a golf cart, then a moped, then a bicycle, THEN be back to yourself (only improved)!
I have been hoping you were doing well and that the surgery would go off as planned.
You have been through so much lately that I hopethistime you can rest and recuperate properly.
Hugs,
Corrie
It's great to see you checking in - now on to healing and improving. I hope you continue to feel better. gentle hugs, Laura
Hi guys, thanks for your supportive notes. Boy, today is a rough day. I have horrible pains in my legs, the muscles keep going into spasms, and the arches of my feel too, My left side is twitching and moving all by itself, and that is new for me. I don't know if I am in a relapse because of the surgery, but this is not fun.......
Hubby has been great for helping me change bandages and coating myself with vaseline, but getting blisters from some of the tubing that is draped and taped to my belly.... I have 2 drains in, and that is kinda different.... and the Dr. will call back today to say when I have to go in, he wants to see me before Friday ..... which is when my appt. was scheduled....so will see what he says.
I am having to wear a sports bra for 24/7 for a month, and that is not comfortable because it cuts in to the skin like pressure points........ so maybe have to find something else.
Thanks again guys,
take care,
hugs to you all,
Candy
Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play? :-)
It sounds like you are going through the nth degree of short term sacrifice, long term gain. I hope you turn the corner soon!
Kyle
thxs Kyle, it helps to chat with people...... it makes us not feel so alone.
I just got a call from the MS clinic, and my appt. with my Neuro is 16th of October..... they had the gumption to ask me " is this a 2nd opinion" .... I got really angry, and sort of took out some of that on her. I said, " it better not be", I've had 9 opinions, and I want to talk about different treatments for progressive MS, which, much to my chagrin, it is progressing, and going back on the Copaxone might not have been a great idea, but it might keep me from progressing any further before I see the (stupid) , neuro .... LOL ( did I say that out loud ) .....
take care my friend,
Candy
Can you sew foam rubber in the bra where it is bothering you? With my port they sewed foam in mine and it helped a lot. The PT did it.
Sorry things are not so good. Polly says woof.
Alex
Candy, you might look for a sports bra that zips up the front - perhaps that will be better than the ones that pull over your head. keep feeling better, L
Hello, Candy. I hope you are healing.
Thank you for your comment on prisms. I will get a pair with a prism, and a pair without (eternal optimist).
Blessings to you as you recover. And thank you.
Hi Alex, I have put gauze and micropore tape where I was getting the blisters, hoping now that the drains were removed this morning, it will heal quickly.
Lulu, I am wearing a zip up sports bra, got a heck of a deal on them. I thought I was being quick on the draw, and I asked about the front closure bras' before I got the instructions from the hospital . The bras at Sears were 29.99 per bra, and when I bought mine ( got 2), I paid 9.99 ..... should have bought more, but wasn't sure on what size I will end up being....
Milliepede, go with the prisms, it will help tremendously, I even got progressive with the prisms, and it helps a whole lot, trust me on that one. Let me know how you make out , huh???
Thanks to the rest of you for your support,
((HUGS))
Candy

Wishing you well during your recovery. l Will keep you in my prayers.
With warm regards, barb
Thanks Barb, it does help, actually got dressed today, and had a shower, so really feel like a new woman. Got lots of healing to do still, but that is ok, I can do it.....
How are you doing?
((HUGS))
Candy
Hi candy,
Glad your feeling a bit better today. One day at a time. I am always amazed at what a nice shower can do.
I'm a bit punky with a pesty UTI, but will be fine once the antibiotic kicks in.
Thanks for asking.
I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
((HUGS)) back at ya, barb
Ok, HERE IT IS !!! I thought when you went to the hospital, you were supposed to be ok when you left. NOT !!! I suffering from yet another UTI, because of their Foley stuff ( or that is what I want to believe) not that that is a good thing, but, when you think maybe it is their hands or gloves that have this bacteria on them, that is somehow scarey too.
My steri strips came off yesterday, and today, I CAN"T stand the pain that is in them ( breasts that is) .... I wonder , is it possible for e-coli to be there too ???
I'm so sick of Dr's, and have 2 more appts, next week, to find out if the last cystocele worked or not, and we are thinking NO !! But , trying to not panic on that one yet, got enough to think about today.
Hope you guys are doing alright,
*HUGS*
