LOL,,, With all the cookies we made today, THERE STILL WEREN'T ENOUGH!! LOL
Everytime the cookies came out of the oven , someone was standing over them taste testing ( yeah right LOL)
Once our kids get the hang of the tradition and they can keep it going, my sisters and I will be having our great lunch out as well.

DDH - that sounds like my kind of Cookie Fest ... we used to do those day long marathons. It is great fun to do that with family and friends. Alas, we gave it up because we discovered we really didn't need that many cookies and now settle for a great lunch out.
best, Lu
I spent the whole day with my sisters for our traditional cookie baking day. The kids got involved with making the gingerbread house (of course it flopped) so they stuck the grahm crackers to the box that the house came in and decorated it with all of the candy and icing.
Christmas music, lots of wine and our crazy santa hats that played music and bounced around on our heads. My sisters and I have some good times together!! Lots of fun!
After 10 hrs. of baking... my back hurts, my wrist hurts and very whooped!!
ITS ALL WORTH IT!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS,
Pam
I'm fighting with two issues: New gas convection oven and trying to convert my families sea level recipes to work at 5500 feet above sea level. So round one was crispy flat cookies. The cookies looked like crepes with chocolate chips sticking out of them.

MY Kitchen appliances don't hate me, I just seem to have lost my mojo when it comes to baking. I'm proficient enough to fake it, but know that my edge is gone. Good luck with the appliances - I hope your streak of bad luck has come to an end.
hugs,
Lu
Jess:
While you are in this spell, I think hubby should take over all but making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It will be way too expensive to have to replace all of the kitchen appliances! LOL.
And no, you do not want a new hand mixer or microwave for Christmas gifts.
Glad to hear you're doing okay and that it lasts through the holidays and beyond.
