OT Trip to Ohio via Yankee Bus Express! LOL

So I thought I'd share my trip with everyone here... I was in Ohio over the weekend. When we first arrived, we pulled over at a restaurant, we had some people yelling to us "Yankees S U C K" LOL and others excited to see we were from NY and driving on a NY Yankee Bus. The kids had a great time at cedarpoint, but had way more fun at the hotel Castaway Bay. Me, on the other hand, yes, I had fun, but the walking was very tiring, and my hips started to hurt, I did ok though.

Let's see, I tripped over everything and anyone in my way, so that wasn't good. I fell in a hole at my cousins house in her driveway, ... yep, was taking a step back and fell right in, scraped up my ankle, bleeding and laughing ( I was meeting some of her friends, so that was embarrassing)  She had lots of slopes and bumps on her grass so of course it threw my walking off, (eye problems, and depth perception) walking like I was drunk, lol I told her I need a walking stick for her house.

We had a great time visiting with family. My cousin , her daughter and step daughter all sing. Her husband plays guitar, I play piano, and my son loves to beat on the drums. I know, we all sound so talented right, just not enough to become a star!! LOL
Anyway,, to me that was the most fun out of the whole trip. My cousin's friends said that we remind them of the Soprano's, the way we talk ( I guess we had an accent to them) and how we talk with our hands, ( they were ducking) LMAO and they said how loud we all get !!

Also, while we were at Cedarpoint, a roller coaster was stuck for like 20 mins. I would have gone crazy being stuck for sooo long especially on a roller coaster way up high. Yikes!!

Glad to be home, we did have a leak in the bathroom skylight from hurricane irene, and a tree down next to our pool, but everyone is safe, WE MISSED THE HURRICANE, and our house is still intact.

Hugs to all,
Pam

Thanks ladies!!!

Carol, yes, it was nerve wracking just wondering what we were going to come home to, Thank God we didn't get alot of damage. And, I love rollercoasters, however, since my health issues, and seizure disorder, I just watch in awwweeee, wishing to be on one. Just looking at those people sitting up there so high would have scared the crap outta me though!

Lulu, I love the buildings and the water ,,,, so beautiful, Where I am from, upstate Ny , it's kinda boring looking and slow paced. Nothing at all like NYC. I think our tallest building is one of your smallest buildings, LOL

What a great way to make memories.  I love these family gatherings even though I don't do the Cedar Point coasters.

I'm glad you were left with good impressions of my home state.
