Off topic--My boys trip to the peds dr

I took my boys, 2 and 4, to the doctor today for their well-child appts.  Nathan has speach delay.  I knew this, but now we are getting referred to a federal speach program.  Oh fun, as if I have the energy for one more thing.  Andrew, 4, might be ADHD.  He has a few signs of it, but I pray that is not it.

Anyway, I am tired, the 2yr old will not nap, and I have to pack tonight for a trip.  We should be back on Monday or Tuesday.  I am so tired.  I still have erronds to run after my husband gets home.  Pray that I make it.  I just don't want to be tired and grumpy when I am with my family.

I remember well, those days when my kids were that age. Delightful one minute, difficult the next. Being exhausted certainly will not add anything to the difficult side of parenting little ones. Also had 2 of my kids in private speech therapy since we didn't qualify for any of the available programs back then. On the good side, when the speech is improved then Nathan will not be as frustrated. When he can express himself better the effect results in better behavior. My kids benefited from the speech therapy and continued it through most of elementary school where it was provided by the school system.

I will keep you in my thoughts and am sending you calming, good thoughts that you will make it through this exhausting time period.

I hope you get some rest soon! Hang in there!

Hugs,
Ren
