Out of L- Land

Hello everyone, it is with a joyous heart I can say --- I have escaped the barren wasteland known to us as Limbo Land, and now officially have - 'diabetic autonomic neuropathy + peripheral neuropathy'.
In 23 days, it would have been 5 years that I wandered, mostly lost. I wanted to share this with you, because of nearly anyone in the world, I know all of you could understand how much this means.

This is thanks to my great new doc.,  I think he was amazed that I have been in limbo for so long. He said MS is defintely not what I have, he saw where that it had always been at the front of the running.
There isn't a great deal that can be done with what I have, continue to keep tight reigns on the blood sugar, consume large amounts of salt and fluids, avoid excessive heat and do not stay on my feet for too long at a time. There might be more to try, but for now that is what we are doing.

I am very thankful to have landed here with you MS'ers and Limbolander's, you are the best there is, I tell ya. I find so much strength and support flowing through you, it is such a comfort.
So now I am official,  but not an official MSer, just another breed of monster to carry on my back. I know he gets heavy at times.

Sorry I have been scarce lately, I have felt fairly well and wanted to take advantage of it to be outside, and doing what I could, as I could.  I have to send off my little thank you for my 'lost' prayers been answered, that itself is a blessing.
Love and hugs

Jazzy

So glad you are out of limbo-land! No so glad you have diabetic neuropathy. I also have that too. Drove 480 miles on Sat for my MRI's, on Sun my legs hurt, an 8 and feet hurt, an 11, on a scale of 1 to 10. So I know what you are going thru!  What's with the salt thing? I crave salt a lot, didn't tie it to anything in particular. Would be very interested to know about that. You take care and don't over do things. Just because you do have a name now, doesn't mean you still won't have the same sx's and pain. Best, firlfriend, Maggie

I am very happy to hear you are out of Limbo Land.  Five years is much too long to spend in it.

I am not familiar with diabetic autonomic neuropathy.  Could you just re-cap your symptoms in a nutshell?  How long have you been diabetic?

Thank you very much.  We could all learn from this diagnosis.  Good Luck.

Eeeee-Haawww!

I am getting out the Big Boot to officially Kick You Out of Limboland!!!!!

There has got to be some ceremony in this, my dear.  I'm not going to make you bend over or anything, but kick you, I will, and heartily!

I am thrilled that you have finally found your answer.  What an odd one.  I think that's a new one here, am I right?  I know I will be corrected if I need to be.  What a journey you have had!  And I feel another one coming up as I lob you over the Great Wall...

Here she comes, guys!!  Ya-Hoo!  (why do I want to wave a cowboy hat?)

Glad to see you go (out of Limboland), and glad you're staying with us (on the forum), right?

Love, hugs, and a hefty Big Boot,

Zilla*

Well, that makes the most sense of anything I've heard in a long time.  Not a lot of doctors seem to think about autonomic neuropathy but it can play heck with your life!!

Wow!  Well, you now have to stay around to represent "that" mimic!  We already know and love you and there is a lot to explain to people (I'll help) in explaining what the autonomic nervous system is.

The CC comes through!

We'll keep talking!  Quix
