Question about sporadic symptom

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. My first relapse before I was dx was optic neurotis. It was severe pain behind my eye and my vision became hazy and has been slightly off since. Last month I had the same type of pain in the same eye. Different than a headache. More of an ice pick behind the eye. It lasted for 3 days and on the third day I went to the ER because I couldn't take it anymore. The pain did subside eventually.

Sunday I had the same pain all day and when I woke up Monday it was gone in the morning. Monday evening it came back for a few hours. Is there anyone who has had a similar experience. It fees the same as the optic neurotsis but comes and goes. I am going to my neruro but thought I'd ask all you nice folks.

FYI. I had a relapse with my spinal lesions in the middle of these two episodes if that matters.

I've had ongoing pain behind the eyes for over a year.  At times, it's been horrible.  Feels like the back side of the eyeball is badly bruised.  Eye exams & VEPs negative.  Neurontin has kept it under control reasonably well.

gee.. doesn't sound easy.  When do you see the Neuro?  Have you seen the Neuro Opthomologist about this.

I get eye pain, behind my right eye,  It's more of a dull achy pain.  I will have it for weeks, and my eye will feel blurry and sore when it moves.  Then it will be fine for months.. it usually comes back, same eye.. the Neuro Optho doesn't see anything wrong with it?

but I have never been Dx with ON.. let us know how things go
take care and see the dr soon
