I have an assortment of eye problems and have had a diagnosis of ON. I have double vision and blurred vision. The blurred vision is also an assortment. I have different levels and types.
The worst is the blurry vision that makes it seem like I'm looking through eye ointment. Most often, however, it looks likes I'm looking through glasses with the wrong prescription. If I look at digital displays--they're doubled. Lights at night are streaked and doubled.
I also have a color wash-out of reds. At its worst, I couldn't tell the difference between red and green in the right eye.
Do you have pain in your eye? I had a dull ache in my right eye.
I also get the symptoms of oscillopsia, mentioned above. I honestly thought that normal people also had this happen when they were tired!!!! I usually have this issue when I'm incredibly tired and sleepy.
I've been having double vision and blurred vision in my right eye - it's usually with a contrasting color - like tortilla chips against the table, for example.
Are you having color changes from one eye to the next?
Having experienced oscillopsia I can tell you I love the word but not the effect! Way weird!
Blurry is a word that all people may use differently. It has no specific definition in medicine except that what you are looking at is not "well focused."
Blurry with changing clarity as you squint.
Like a film over the eye - often used by people with optic neuritis.
Difficulty moving one eye to fix on an object requiring the brain to rapidly shift from one eye to another.
The objects you look at seem to be constantly swinging or moving (oscillopsia)
As your gaze moves from one object to another they appear to have "tails" behind them - like you can do with the mouse cursor.
Fuzzy night vision
"Halos" around bright objects
I have heard all of these things referred to as "blurry."
I love the word oscillopsia (Ah-seh-lopp'-sea-uh). Maybe I'll write a book and call it Journey From Oscillopsia.

Yeah, that's like what I describe. Like there is a film over my eye. I just want to run my finger across my eye to clear it, or a tissue, or anything (not that I would) but there are times I just want to scrape the eye to clear it. Very aggravating.
I would say the vision not just reading...would be blurry... I get like a film over my eye or eyes on days..not always...but once in awhile.
take care
