An update

I thought I would pop in and say hello to my favorite community (whether I belong here or not in the diagnosis spectrum) and let you all know what's going on with me.

Since June 20th when I had that heat exhaustion issue and it has definitely put my body on a rollercoaster ride and I think I'm finally coming out of it (watch me jinx this).

I've had bilateral weakness in legs (where if I were to go and sit, instead of slowly lowering into the seated position, my legs just couldnt handle the weight (110 lbs) and would plop down), my bladder was agitated (frequency, incontinence), paresthesias (am getting a lot more of goosebump phenomenon on one leg or side of cheek or top of one side of head -- no biggie though), stabbing pain in a toe or two like someone was driving a nail into it (only lasted 24 hours and now is gone), blurred vision, dizziness, shortness of breath episodes were increasing (not panic related though), etc.  The mild list goes on.

On Aug 11, I was fatigued, weak and once again making frequent visits to the bathroom.  I
On Aug 12, I had another shortness of breath episode (lasted most of day and was using inhaler but decided I needed help) and I finally went into the ER to get nebulizer treatment x 4 and IV steriod.  I felt much better in two hours and was discharged on Prednisone and Ventolin inhaler. The doctor seems to think I have acquired asthma.  (I am a smoker and told him its most likely COPD but what do I know).  I didnt have a temperature  when I was in the ER, but I did when the myalgia or muscle pain started after discharge (about an hour after arriving home).  It was 101.6 and it would go up and down.  The highest was 102.6.  Advil and tylenol seemed to help but had the myalgia with it.

Moving along, I had my ultrasound core biopsy done on the 13th of August on three new solid masses found in right breast.  It went well.  No pain whatsoever (not yet at least! - yay!) I was so afraid of allodynia again after my last biopsy. LOL.  I am certain all will be benign and fine.  They just get a little jumpy at atypical ductal hyperplasia and history of radial scars and such.  But in the end, it comes out benign. (so far so good!)

So, that is it with me.  My muscle pain is ceased, my temperature yesterday was hanging in 99.0 range but now it is normal.  Im so happy about that! I am feeling a bit more energetic (think from the steroids) and the breathing is great.

I hope that everyone is doing ok and I'll take a bit of time to read the forum and get my own updates and meet new people!

Lisa

That night after discharge the muscles of my hips, thighs, calves and top of feet were burning (bilaterally), it was so painful, excruiating.

Nice to see you around Lisa, but sorry of what you have been going through. This must be scary but the lumps will hopefully be benign like you said. Hope you get some relief soon. Stay positive like you are, it always helps a lot.
My best,
Dagun

Hey Hun,

Nice to see you - geesh, you need a break woman! I'm glad you are still with us. Wish I had something magical to say to make it go away, or provide comfort. I will be praying the biopsies show benign. And you get a much needed break.

Heya LuLu :D

Glad you can decipher it. LOL!

I take it back, I'm still in the 99.1 range in temperature. Don't know what's going on with that, but its better than 102.6!!!

This is the first time I've been diagnosed with asthma.  He said "intrinsic asthma".

Yeah on weak days, plopping seems to fit right in doesn't it?

I get the results on Friday, which again, I am positive it will come out fine as the other three have done.  I do know, if it is atypia again, Im not going for the lumpectomy this time. I have had three of them and even though some histology was precancerous, it still is "benign". I think I want to give my body a break you know?

Thanks for responding LuLu -- I appreciate that!

Hope all is well :D

I love your editing - nothing like just throwing it out there and letting us sort if out! That's my style, too.

Asthma?  IS that something new or have you had traces of it before?

The plopping when sitting reminds me of my last neuro visit - they had me doing some walking tests and then come into the exam room and sit .... I did exactly what you describe and almost fell into the seat, I dropped so hard with no control.  The two docs in the room looked at me wide-eyed.  I laughed at them and said I didn't expect the seat to be so low and stood up and did it again, this time a bit more gracefully.  They have one of those adjustable tables and had it almost on the floor when I went to sit - I was as surprised as them when I plopped my butt down- literally.

When do you get the results from your biopsy?  I hope you don't have to wait long for those answers.

It's always good to see you here,  L
