Yes! you did. I'm so sorry I neglected you. Thanks for speaking up, I need to be kep on my toes sometimes. I'll be back later today with my thoughts. Again, I really apologize. Quix
Hi, I read all of your answers a couple times. I still don't have a clear feeling about what is going on with you. It does not sound like MS to me. I have heard the neurologist over on the Doctor forum talk about diffuse sensory paresthesias after a viral syndrome.
What makes it sound different from the usual way that MS presents is the way the tingling and the sensation of muscle weakness moves around sometimes being the arms, then legs sometimes the proximal muscles and soemtimes the distal. That doesn't fit with a neurological disease that I know. But, do remember that I am NOT a neurologist.
I think you should have complete testing for paresthesias. The most common would be B12 deficiency. You didn't say what blood work was normal.
If you really feel like these symptoms are not anxiety, then I suggest you write up the timeline like I always suggest and seek a second (or third) opinion. The MRI should be done with contrast. If they are still normal I think you should have Visual Evoked Potential, Somato-Sensory Evoked Potentials. If things remain normal then you may need to have serial exams every 6 months or so and repeat testing as needed by different symptoms.
If you are having constant trouble swallowing you need a cine-swallow study with a speech pathologist. At that time they would evaluate your mouth/tongue/speech for problems also.
I wish I could be of more help. Quix
Thank you very much for your reply, I will do as you say. thanks again
I just read your 'article' on diagnosing MS without a positive MRI. It is very well written and I just wanted to thank you.
I am going to have a 3T scan in October and if that does not show anything I will await the 7T.
My MS neurologist just says, we do not know enough yet which is fair. Medicine is a work in progress for sure!
Thanks again!
