Really cool Day in MS land
I went riding and after my lesson I got to ride around the fields with other ladies from the barn. I have been pretty shy since I do not have a horse or ride as well as they do. It is fun to make new friends. Working off my lessons has been good for building confidence as well. Going out to the barn keeps me from isolating even if I am only talking to horses. I could easily stay at home all day.
When I got home there was a package. My cooling vest! I just applied for it to MSAA last week. I am going to a free outdoor concert tomorrow with my husband, something I usually dread because of the heat but this time I will have my cooling vest.
There is also a big arts and music festival over the 4rth week end. I used to sell my art there. In recent years I have not even gone to have fun due to the heat. Now we can go one day with the help of the vest.
I can even get back to walking/training Grady.
Life is really cool.

I am sure you could not get one through TSA because of the liquid ice packs. I would take the vest with out ice packs in my luggage and buy Wallmart ice packs at my destination.
Alex that is really crazy about the police. I wonder...do you know what would happen if you tried to take it on an airplane? Will they let you through security with it?

I wore the cooling vest to the concert. Linda and Robin Williams they play on the Prairie Home Companion. I had not seen them in over twenty years. It was the first summer out door concert I actually enjoyed in awhile. Usually I am miserable and only go to make my husband happy.
The only drawback with the cooling vest was the Police did not know what to make of it. It is hot and you are wearing something that looks like a bullet proof vest. It is heavy as well. I think I can substitute the the K cryopaks from Wallmart which are lighter ice packs and more flexible.
