Hi, Shell.
Everything you said makes perfect sense. And I appreciate , more than you know, that you have taken the time to explain everything to me.
Last night was horrible!
I still had the migraine from Monday nights injection-and 3 hours after last nights injection, I woke and the migraine was unbearable!
My MS Specialist and my D.O. both think it is probable that I hav a dye allergy. So, my D.O. changed my Diazepam to Valium last week, and I think I need to give it more time, to see if the chronic diarrhea stops.
I'm on the BRAT diet as of yesterday, with the exception of a cup or two of coffee for the migraines. I have to wear sunglasses to look at the computer monitor. My eyes are so sensitive to light due to headaches.
I'll be glad when my body adjusts. We've already seen some improvement on it.
If the diarrhea isn't dye-related, I am going to contact my G.I. Doc.
It seems since I have developed MS, there is so little I can digest. That's difficult, because my appetite has finally improved.
I do have an MS Lifelines nurse I can call, and I am going to put a call in to her now.
Thanks for reminding me.
Shell-thank you for being here.

Sheila
P.S. I finally noticed the "Best Answer" thing. :)
You could get the fluctuations 3 months in, as the full dosing schedule is in your system steady. We produce interferon naturally, but with injecting it, we increased it. So, you could be experiencing that increase with the rise in body temp, and then the fall.
But, there are also other possibilities of hot and cold fluctuations. One can be lesion location, while another could be hormones. Just so hard to know what is causing what.
If it is the Rebif, then you could experience a lessening as your body adjusts. I do not get chills, or fever anymore, and remember feeling that initially - but it was not to the magnitude of the actual flu.
I do wish you better days ahead Sheila, and hope this subsides for you as time goes on. You can also play around with injection timing - that may help. Do you have a MS lifelines nurse to call? The one who came out for injection training? They can speak to the timing and what has helped some of their other patients.
(((Hugs))) I hope you are resting well :)
