Overactive bladder

Yesterday, I had an issue with frequent urination.  I mean I just got done and 10 minutes later, I had to go again. I went to go photograph within my area and I had to find a bushy area to relieve myself again after doing so just before I left my house.  This happened all day long.

Now, I dont experience this all the time, but when it happens, sometimes the urge is so bad I have no control over it.

I thought the vaginal mesh surgery I had two years ago would have helped with my structural issues at my gyno-urologist stated it would.  However, it did not work, even on post-op day 1.  Coughing, squatting, standing up after going where urine continues to run out of me is quite frustrating.

Can I state I have an overactive bladder without having it every day?

Is it possible for my one ureter to spasm? (which it did yesterday).

Just wanted other people's feedback and what they do for it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

I suppose I can call the Gyn-urologist after not seeing him in two years with the same issue and see if there's a medication that could help me with the urge and stress incontinence.

Honestly, I'd do another corrective surgery but it HAS to BE the RIGHT one.

Who here has had this issue and has surgery and it fixed them?

What was it called (other than vaginal mesh because that did not work for me).

First thought is be sure you don't  have a UTI brewing but I know this has been an ongoing problem.  I sorry this continue because  I know this frustration first hand. Hugs,

Lisa,

That was one of my major complaints when trying to get a referral to a URO at the VA. I would go to the bathroom and as soon as I would stand up out would come some more urine, even though I had forced out all I could.

When I finally got my Urodynamic testing done they confirmed that my bladder was having spasms as soon as any fluid entered it. It had a mind of its own so to speak. So I was put on  20Mg Trospium CL once a day. This has helped me a lot, but not entirely as it wears off during the day and by late evening I am starting to have the problem again. My PC has suggested for me to try cutting the pill in half so that I can take it twice a day to see if that helps, but have not tried it yet.
