I definately have quite short episodes, wasn't until the biggie with the double vision that i got diagnosed, but with hindsight, definately weeks where i have been totally braindead, slowed down, and very low. They last about a week and then pass, but at the time...not pleasant. My last relapse with numbness all over also lasted about two weeks in total. As Alex says the only predictable thing about ms is that it's so flipping unpredictable!

Everyone with MS is different and MS itself is unpredictable with each person. Just because you were in bed two months last time does not gauge how you will be this time. You do need to contact your Neurologist. Symptoms can very greatly from relapse to relapse. Then there are short term flairs.

You see there are two things going on in MS. One is inflammation this causes temporary symptoms. When the inflammation is gone so are the symptoms. Two is nerve damage this is permanent and these symptoms are here to stay. It all depends on which nerves are involve and no one not even Doctors can predict that.

mine usually last a few days or a week.....but my symptoms never completely go away. Some days are better than others but when I have an attack (usually brought on by my environment) it last only for about a week our so but I never get completely back to where I was before. Dealing with some issues right now.
