Not so much lately, but during definitely during bad flares. The worst was when I had extreme double vision and MS hug. Like MBCON, I would get disoriented and dizzy. I would startle easily as a car coming from the other direction would appear to be headed straight at us; really disconcerting. MS hug made it hard to get comfortable. It`s a 5 hour drive to my MS specialist`s office; by the time I arrive in Edmonton I usually feel pretty gross. I could fly, but as long as I`m not the one driving I wouild rather drive than fly. I always bring a fleece blanket, cushion for my back and pillows for my head and lap. Also, drinks, snacks, IPOD, Blackberry, magazines, etc. My husband prefers travelling light and just shakes his head at me and all the stuff I needs to get comfy.
Traveling is problematic in that my legs start hurting. If there is a lot of signs or cars I get disoriented / dizzy. So, yes travelings is difficult and I try to avoid it.
Oh, yes! I don't do well for more than half an hour or so. On a long trip, we have to stop and get walking around at least once an hour, which conveniently in in synch with my potty stops.
I have bad spasms. I take muscle relaxers if I am not driving and use a homedics heat and massage in the car.

I can't take any prolonged car rides without paying for it for usually a day or two. this last one kept me down for about a week before I called the Dr and got a shot for the pain with pills. I end up stiff and in pain everywhere, increased myoclonus with migraines.
I used to love traveling and taking road trips cross country now I am leary of any road trips to visit anyone.

My limit used to be about 30". Now it takes closer to 45" to get to work. I had to adjust my tolerance.
It's actually harder to be the passenger in our truck. My short legs don't allow my feet to rest comfortably on the floor and my hips extend too far. I have to shift my weight constantly to avoid spasms and pain. The truck's motion leaves me feeling carsick lots. That could probably could be improved with a new driver!

Planes, train, automobiles, bed, etc. Anywhere I get stuck in one position for too long.

Hi and welcome here! I find that we have to stop every 90 minutes or so and get out and stretch for two reasons - one is to move my legs and hips to keep the loose and pain free.
the second reason is to usually make restroom stops - the pitfall of havng a neurogenic bladder is frequent trips to the loo, even when we are on a trip.
How about you? Lulu
