VERY worried and could REALLY use some advice/reassurance........

Hello......my name is Lisa. I will be 43 next month. I was dx with Sjogren's Syndrome in April of last year. And I honestly feel like it has done a number on my body already! I have been having NUMEROUS relapsing, remitting symptoms, I'd say for at least the last 9 months (give or take a month or two). Symptoms include:
Lightheadedness/vertigo (several x a day almost on a daily basis)....."electric" shock sensations down my spine....forearms go numb during sleep....numbness/tingling in fingertips & heels........burning in toes.......jerking of limbs......trouble regulating body temperature........increased sweating........warm sensation in arms........cool/wet sensation down left hip into leg......I am also having intimate issues (loss of feeling)

There are more but these are the main symptoms that concern me. The lightheadedness/vertigo is relatively new (probably been having them about a month now) out of a 7 day week, I'd safely say I am affected 5 days out of 7. And it is numerous times a day. The other day, I lost my balance and nearly fell into the dairy case at wal-mart!!! Luckily my son was with me and reached out and grabbed me!!

Aside from the lightheadedness/vertigo, the rest of the symptoms relapse & remit. I was tested for PN but that came back normal but I am thinking maybe small fiber neuropathy???? I am also wondering about MS???? I was also dx with Pars Planitis (Uveitis) in both eyes in Sept 2015, and have been told PP & MS are linked. I am in-between Rheumy's at the moment. Currently awaiting for approval or denial for a referral to a new Rheumy in Jonesboro, Ar. But I am REALLY starting to stress (which is NOT helping).

It could be up to 4 more weeks until I hear from my potential new Rheumy so I am contemplating making an appt with my PCP. I could REALLY use some advice/reassurance!! I just don't know what to do and where to go from here!

Sorry this got so long.....
thanks in advance for any replies!

Lisa

Hi and welcome,

I don't know very much about Sjogren's sorry, i do know it has been associated with Uveitis, it's also one of the autoimmune conditions that can cause some similar symptoms and can have a relapsing remitting symptom pattern like MS.....honestly, you might find connecting with people with Sjogren's to be more reassuring and or more helpful in understanding whether or not what you've experienced is typical for Sjogren's.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help......JJ
