I don't have any desire to share my images and wouldn't feel comfortable uploading them anywhere. OsiriX has done the job for me, for free, for many years now.
Jack imaging is in Beta. OsiriX has been used by professionals and patients in a stable form for a long time. Are you the 'Ben' who is their director of Client Relations and Sales? If so, you should probably know you got the URL for the user guide wrong...
You can use jackimaging.com
If you insert your CD, drag and drop your files on chrome browser over to jackimaging.com/demo
You can view your images instantly (and it's free).
If you want to upload them, you can create a free account. Once your files are uploaded, you can share them as well.
Here's a user guide: https://app.usedox.com/d/ccVKb/Jack-Imaging-How-To-Guide-pdf
So are you saying that if we have LION, we can view them or do we still need a download program?
I have a mac book pro and was unable to look at mine but have not retried since getting LION
I did not take your post as inappropriate, it may help many of us!
A friendly FYI--You have a MacBook or MacBook Pro; PowerBooks have non-Intel processors so could not run Osirix. Functionally, they perform equal to Intel Mac Minis, but the Minis were released before the MacBook lines, so your conclusion may indeed be correct.
OsiriX requires an Intel processor and the Mac OS version 10.6 or 10.7 (referred to respectively as, Snow Leopard and Lion)
To Wobbly- Early Mac Minis had G4 processors, later Intel "Core Solo"/Duo/i3,etc.
2GB refers to the RAM (Ghz refers to processor speed), OsiriX needs 1GB minimum. If your Mac came with 2GB then it is likely an Intel. If you do not have 10.6 or higher, older versions supported 10.4 (Tiger).

Darn...no. It took me a long time to find that one. I downloaded it and haven't had any problems but I have a power book so more GBs. Maybe you could borrow someones computer just so you can look at them and then you can convert them into jpegs so you can look at them on your mini. I am not a computer geek so my knowledge is limited :(
Hi there... I only have a Mac Mini which is 2GB only...so this viewer needs more GB for this? thanks for your info anyway..
anymore suggestions?
thanks

thanks alot, I'll try downloading this. It won't hurt the computer? right?? I'm not a computer person...and I'm sure I'll have questions as how to look at them..
take care

I think so. I have a Mac with OS10 and downloaded a free program from Osrix.
Here is the link:

It is for research use only and not meant to be "an official viewer" but I think it works well. The MRIs on my profile here were taken from this software.
It takes a little getting used to as there are a lot of buttons for viewing and stuff. I figured out most of it so if you need help let me know :D Except how to read the films. So I have no idea what I am looking at.
