EBV results

I just got my results of my EBV test done and it these are my results.

                                                                                  Reference Range
HHV6   1:80 Positive                                                           <= 1:20
EBV Nuclear Antigen IgG   4.91 Positive                               <= 0.90
EBV Viral Capsid Antigen IgG  7.10 Positive                          <= 0.90

I have had all of my symptoms for almost 4 years now and I know that Chronic EBV can lead to MS or Lymphoma. I hope that my new neuro puts all the pieces together. I have so many symptoms that I don't know what to think anymore. I have positive anti-myelin antibodies CNS and peripheral titers, positive EBV titers, slightly positive Rheumatoid factor, anemia, fatigue, muscle weakness, elevated urine creatine, heat rash, itchy skin, negative ANA, negative MRI, Abnormal Evoked potential test in left eye, blurry and ptosis in left eye, confusion, choking sensation, and weight loss. I feel like I am falling apart and I am only 28 years old. This all started when I was 24 and has made me feel like I am 80. Sorry if I am writing a book, I just need to vent sometimes. Thanks for listening.

Thanks guys for your input. I do go see the new Neurologist on Monday. I have always seen male neuro's and I see a female this time, not like that should matter, but maybe a different point of view will help. I am also planning on seeing a hematologist if possible, but I have to convince my PCP to refer me and he thinks I am crazy, and that I am just depressed so I doubt he will. Jodi, your antibodies are much higher than mine, I do not know much about the ranges, I just know that they were positive, I guess they are a weak positive? Jodi, I know you said you don't post much, but I am curious, have you been told that you could have Chronic EBV syndrome since you have such a high EBV antibody titer and have you gotten any closer to finding an answer from your doctor? Please take care of your self, I feel for you too and thanks to everyone that has responded.

Sounds like you are really going through some rough times. Well your story sounds just like mine. I am 30 now and been through the same thing as you for the last 4 years. I just found out about 4 months ago that my EBV antibodies were in the 1700's but I did not have it but had gotten it at sometime or many times and now just had the antibodies. I read an article or several for that matter that linked EB virus and MS. Just hang in there and know that an answer is on the way. You will make it. I feel like I am falling apart also but since i found this group about 2 months ago my life has changed. I don't often respond but I go on the sight everyday and read everyones posts and I really feel like these people know me more than anyone. No one can understand in less they are going through it. Please just keep hanging in there and stick with the forum. Prayers help too. Hang in there... Jodi

Gee honey, you have really had it all haven't you?  I really hope that your new neuro finally gets you on the road to recovery or at least on a road somewhere other than the lab for more tests!  This all seem ridiculous to me but I am going to think positive for you with the new dr.

I know nothing about the results you posted, someone like Quix might be able to help, I hope so.

Keep in touch honey and let us know how you make out ok?  When do you next see the new doc?  Soon I hope, the waiting is the worst!

Lots of Hugs,
