Lesion Enhancing...

I thought lesions would enhance, indicating active inflammation, for 4-6 weeks.

Is it possible for lesions to be continuously enhancing??

I had 5 enhancing lesions on my last MRI almost 10 months ago. My newest report indicates that "the enhancement of the C2-3 cord lesion, or associated T1 hyperintensity of this lesion, has not significantly changed since 2011.

So, if it was enhancing last year...and hasn't changed...it sounds like it's still enhancing.

Does it sound like that to you?

Yes. This one is just on the edge.

Makes me wonder if I should have had steroids at some point in the past 10 months to get the inflammation down!!

Yep, sounds like it's still enhancing.  Does the whole lesion light up, or does a discreet edge light up?  Sometimes enhancement can continue on an existing lesion.
