I have a great GP!

Last week I ended up at my GP because I had constipation. He gave me to drink and cream as I had torn myself.

With out any prompting from me he went on to say - That he knew how hard it was not to have a Dx but very often with neurological problems the reason for them show up some years down the line. In the next breath he started talking about MS and although the tests I have had to date do not show this there is no definitive test for it. He also pointed out that I had not had a full spine MRI. He went on to say that although the neurologist had signed me off, the consultant I see at the hospital who is sorting out my medication would prescribe the same medication if did have a Dx and I was still being seen by the neuro rehabilitation team.

Although I already knew, all that he had said from the internet it's the first time a Dr has told me I haven't met any criteria so that was that.

I came out feeling calm, shocked I hadn't expected to have that conversation. But most of all I knew that I have a fantastic GP who is prepared to think outside the Box!

A great GP is a wonderful thing. I was signed off by two Neurologists but my GP who found my Neurological Problems in the first place kept sending me to new Neurologists until I was diagnosed.

I am very glad for you.

I'm so glad you are in good hands with this doctor.  Now be sure to let us know what the consultant offers in the way of drugs.

Validation is a great form of medicine to make us feel better.  I'm glad he listened.
