Wow what an experience that was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just sitting at my computer wondering what to do next until my pain meds kicked in. So I figured I see what kind of display setting I could change to make things more interesting. So I went to the control panel of Windows ( I am running Windows 7) to check it out. And was I surprised.

One of the settings was for the orientation for the monitor. They offered landscape ( the way we normally see things), Portrait ( everything tipped to the side), Reverse Landscape, and Reverse Portrait. OK says I, lets try reverse landscape to see what that is like. Man as soon as I click the accept button my mind was going wild! Every move with the mouse is backward. It took me about 5 minutes in order to move the mouse pointer to the box to revert to the way the screen was.

So if that wasn't bad enough and I'm that stupid at times I decided to try the portrait mode next. This mode didn't freak out my mind as bad, but it took a good 15 minutes to move the mouse correctly to get to the revert button. Now the mouse moves were rotated by 90 degrees, and I just could not get my hand / mind connection to realize that aspect.

But it got me to thinking. Would someone without cognitive problems handle it any better? Would this be a good way to exercise our brains  so that they can better function in coordination problems?

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

I wasn't sure if it had something pain med because you mentioned at first.

My computer does that too and sometimes worse..must be a setting I could use to change it from going nuts.  But its a new Windows 7 so the computer itself is ok.

My cog issues do slow me down, i used to be able fix my computer and was fairly tech savvy,
I can't even us my phone now..lol

hugs, meg

I think anything that challenges the brain is good for you.  I played lots of 'box-popper' games until my brain started working better.

Hi Dennis,

Do you still have problems???

If so you can go back to a restore point where everything should be back to normal.

I went over to Mac's   about two years ago,  two many hard drives & the crashes,

I really takes some time to get use to, however I would never go back to a PC.
