I had my MRI in a 3T machine on Monday and today I go to my neuro to find out what it says.   It's so weird to have the disk with me, but not to have the software that would allow me to see it.
Work is crazy busy and I am trying to plan a vacation between Christmas and New Years for our family to have some quality family time with my husband and kids , someplace warm.  Nothing I have tried as quite worked out.
Nervous about today.  You don't want it say you have lesions, but if it doesn't then what?

I have my Women's group on Wednesday, and my Tysabri infusion on Thursday.

This Women's group is fun. There are only 4 of us, and a MFT facilitates.  We're women in mid-life, exploring the changes we're going through, and with me, exploring mid-life with an unpredictable, chronic, disabling disease.  We're using writing, movement, and art to work through these issues.  I'm finding it really helpful!

I'm not sure that is allowed. I don't think he is even a real lawyer either as he is a DAV Service Officer.  More like a paralegal if I understand correctly that have special training in Veterans Law.. The appeal hearings are informal hearings before what they call Veteran Law Judges.

Besides I don't think it would go over too good having him eat lunch while I just sat there. His office is in the building for the VA in Nashville ( 2 hours away) and I can't eat while up there due to my IBS.  Ever time I have tried that I don't make it home or to a bathroom in time.

But it was a good idea!

Already found a deer, but that was before the award letter came so I guess that doesn't count. :) A nice large doe was in my front yard at 10AM this morning! It stuck around for about 1 hour! The mail didn't arrive until 12:30.

Thanks for all your responses! I am glad to know doable is really a word!

The cardiologist wants to see me one month after I start Gilenya and monitor what, if anything it is doing to my heart.

Pastor Dan, my hubby did say I had a radiant glow around me!

Dennis, I am so happy to hear that you got some good news. Have fun celebrating :)

Hugs,
Deb

Deb,

Looked it up! Doable is a real word!

Got my Disability Compensation Award letter from the VA today so will be planning a celebration for that. It is only 10% for the tinnitus but it goes back to June of 08 so I will be getting a considerable chuck of change in the next 15 days.

So how will I celebrate? No idea! Any suggestions welcome.

Well, I am literally RUN OFF MY FEET !!!!   LOL ... we are watching our littliest grand daughter for 5 days.  Her folks went to Vegas for our dauaghter's 30th.   So, we are crazy busy, but I am sooooo loving it.

I did not remember all the ethings that we have to do.  I did this for 28 years as a Nanny, and just retired 4 years ago.  I don't know if it is the MS as awell, and I'm thinking that it probably is.  |
I will have bigger muscles and maybe a ! pack on my tummy  LOL

NExt week the Dr's appts. start again, and I go in for some biopsies on my legs, to find out what all the lumps are that are growing on my tendons.... ( not looking forward dto that) , then there is 2 MRI's booked, and 3 ultrasounds ....  and Norm has 1 MRI himself, so, of course the month of December will only be busier than normal.

Oh yeah................ we are having another grand baby on Friday the 23.   don't know what time yet, but I will post some pictures.

Hoping that your weeks are good...

(((HUGS))) to all,
Candy

Pastor D - how do you keep such a schedule? Oh my.

Deb - What a way to find out you had a heart attack huh? Oh my. Geesh! Glad you will start Gilenya, and hope a cardio will be willing to make sure there was no damage from that.Doable, yes, definitely a word in my book, lol

I'm muddling through some fatigue. Life has thrown me a couple curve balls lately, so I'm a little shot from ducking and playing catch.

I spent most of the day yesterday at the cardiologist. I saw him on Thursday an he confirmed the abnormal EKG results that I had received from my PCP 2 weeks ago. All the tests indicated that I had a heart attack at some point. Yesterday was the follow up to figure out what was going on....
So I spent 5 hours getting tested at the cardiologist's. I got a nuclear ECG, an ultrasound of my heart, a nuclear imaging, followed by a stress test that involved injecting more nuclear stuff through an IV to stimulate my heart. I was finally allowed a 45 minute break to eat, yay! Following the break was more nuclear imaging which was followed by drinking tons of water to flush things out.

The good news...it appears the heart attack occurred a long time ago and everything is fine now so I finally got the all clear to start Gilenya! Yay!!! This prep work has taken 3 months of not being on any DMD, very anxious to get started.

I am also beginning to get ready for Thanksgiving. I bought the turkey today, now I have to begin cleaning, ugh! Nothing is as easy as it used to be, but at least it is still doable (is that a real word?)

Have a great week  my friends,
Deb

Lu, if you have time available, there's housework in prep for Thanksgiving beginning to back up over here...

A cancellation at the neuro's Columbus office allows me to go pour out my complaints to him on Friday, mid-day.  I was scheduled for 12/20, so this is an early Christmas present, right?

Up late last night diagnosing car troubles for the stepkids and their SO's, some of it long-distance even.  Better than the weekend, which was spent in couples counseling for some of the same parties.

Meeting this AM @ day job, re: a chain store planning a new location.  I visited the site last Thursday, and happened to find enough intriguing bone fragments in the just-harvested bean field that I contacted the Sheriff's office.  Deputy was as unsure as I about the species, but since I've heard nothing more, I'm assuming their experts concluded that they weren't human.

Another zoning hearing tonight; expecting it to run late.  I think this is the appeals board; I lose track.

Working on the house, church, symptom timeline to share with neuro.

Tremendous, even indescribable thanks to all the vets, including my boss.

Sarah, my week is like yours.... I have no medical events on the calendar, unlike last week that had mebooked for something every single day.  I hope to take a deep breath and get on top of my housework in prep for Thanksgiving.
