Facial flushing as a symptom

Does anyone deal with flushing as a symptom?  I recently began having these episodes of spontaneous flushing of my face.  It only lasts for a few minutes - there is some warmth with it - but no racing heart or anxiety type symptoms.   I wonder if it has to do with being too warm?  It is too weird.

I have had the same feeling for a little while now. I get the dizzy off balance feelings, headaches, and burning pains in various areas of my body that seem to accompany the flushing. I also get a mild to moderate rocking type trembling in my head that until recently I was told was unnoticeable. Now I am being told that it is noticeable at times. The flushing and burning pain is extremely strange. Does anyone else have the problem with tremors in the head? And I get so fatigued sometimes its horrible it feels like I am so weak in my body not a tired go to sleep fatigued. Anyone experience that as well? The fatigue will last a couple of hours then I seem to get my energy back! Crazy

My vertigo is always when I am laying down - and mine is definitely a room spinning type of feeling.  The numbness, tingling, burning etc. is usually around for a period of time -as most of my symptoms come in what I call "episodes"...

I have had a brain, cervical spine & thoracic spine MRI without contrast.  The 1st neurologist who did the brain MRI stated that it was normal - but after getting the report & MRI to take to neuro #2, the radiologist noted that there was an "unidentified bright object" in the corpus collosum, of unknown significance.  Neuro #1 also ordered an ENG/VNG test, again Neuro #1 told me it was normal, but after getting the reports, it was noted that I had a bilateral weakness to air caloric testing and that a central nervous system disorder should be ruled out.

My c-spine & t-spine were done by neuro #2 - both "unremarkable".  My neuro exam is "mostly normal" according to neuro #2.  He saw some pallor in my left optic disc - but the eye doctor doesn't see it.

Still searching - I don't know if this is MS or something else, I just would really like to know what it is so that I can get on with life.

Have you had MRIs done yet? Your symptoms are very similar to mine, I get them primarily on my left side, as well. My vertigo started while laying down, and it's changed ever so often...I remember when I first realized something was wrong, I would be laying down in bed trying to sleep and felt like my body was laying down at different angles, but I clearly knew I wasn't...I felt like I was trying to sleep on a boat that kept rocking back and forth. Then as I fell asleep, obviously I couldn't feel it, but the instant I woke up, I could feel it, especially when sitting in the bath tub...just very odd sensations I had never felt before. I feel the lightheadednes, tingling/burning/buzzing sensations when I am sitting down, not so much when I am standing up, except the numbness comes when I feel like I can no longer support myself when standing. I haven't had any notable urinary issues, but have had the bad constipation, which I always blamed on my IBS, but I doubt that's why it's flared up again. I take acidophilus supplements every morning for my GI issues, and it's helped me tremendously!

I'm curious as to if you've been to a neurologist or had any MRIs and what the findings were in your physical assessment. I have hyperactive reflexes without clonus on the left side of my body, right sided weakness, Postive Romberg's sign, generated nystagmus when asked to view an object away from me and then when brought in closer to my face, etc..

That is interesting - I have vertigo (only when laying down), and feeling lightheaded or dizzy (when upright)  - but I haven't noticed it at the same time as the flushing.  I will have to pay more attention to see if there is a connection there.

I experience vertigo, lightheadedness or dizziness, tingling/burning/buzzing, numbness, sharp, intense lighting like pain across back or abdomen, prickles, urinary issues, headache, one bout of blurred vision in left eye, floaters in left eye, fatigue, left hip stiffness, Acid reflux, esophageal spasms, IBS type issues.  Most of my symptoms are primarily on my left side.  If I do have any on the right, they are very mild in comparision.

Good times!

I get that quite often, especially when the vertigo/feeling of being off balance comes on...it is very odd!!! It immediately stops once I sit down, but as I am standing up without movement, it happens...the more I keep walking, the better I feel...

What are your other symptoms?
