Like what I leard about my Neuro

Hi all!
When the beta nurse came for training on Sunday, she said some things about my neuro that made me feel good.  He is an optho-neuro.  He is not necessarilly an MS specilist.  She said that he treats and referrs more MS patients in the area than anyone.  The nurse was from Mobile, AL.  That is about 50 miles away.  She was happy to hear that I had not gone to the MS docs in Mobile!  WOW!  She said that he is deeply compassionate, and genuinly concerned with his patients.  His nurse, follows up with teh Beta nurse after every training.

Anyway, another member of this forem advised me not to see the MS docs in Mobile.  I wanted to tell the other member, that they were right!  The nurse said that the guys in Mobile are arrogent, cold, and she feels misses Dx frequently.

I knew that I liked my Neuro, but because he is not a specilist, I had my doubts.  NOT ANYMORE!

Hi there,
I'm on copaxone so can't speak first hand about side effects, but I know most everyone here on the interfurons say they take their shot right before bedtime, about an hour or so after taking something OTC for the aches and pains.  I would ask around as to how they take their shot if you have any discomfort.

good luck with heading to New Orleans and eat a beignet for me!

Second injection is tonight.  The first one was not too bad.  I was a little light headed for about 30 min, and three hours later my lower back and legs started to ache.  I am oging to take this one closer to bed time.

Hi Opie,
Liking your doctor and having trust in the treatment you receive from your doctor is one of the most important things in your care.  I am so glad you have this confidence.

I think I remember you wrote about your first injection making you feel not so good - I hope you are over the worst of it and have a good week.

My best,
Lulu
