Hi Sheila, I am very sorry to hear you had such trouble. My brain scans show 2 objects that they label as stroke also and I could state a time where I would have remembered having a stroke. I did have an bad episode of diabetic Dka, and it could have happened during that time.

Quix or someone might be able to to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they might think you could of had stroke without the telltale signs. I do not have any one sided weakness or such at all, both sides are bad. ;-p   I am an enigma.

Just wanted to tell you that you are not alone in that scan finding. Hugs

thank you for your reply
Its helps to know you are not alone.my GP is of the old school she still thinks we have no rights to our medical reports .I live in the UK.they really dont make it easy to get our medical records .Her ansewr was I get paid to deal with snotty nosed kids ,not to deal with
hospital reports .
I phoned the opthamoligist and he read it over the phone to me .he asked me if I had ever had a stroke .I said no .HE  said I could of had one and not known about . which I m  sure I would know if I had a stroke .I am not very good at writing and explaining things
but a big thank you for taking the time to reply

I was able to go directly to the imaging center (by-passed the doctor) for my MRIs.  When I've gotten copies of my records, I called the receptionist and stated the time I would be by . . . a signature and a smile and I would be on my way.

Do you not have a legal right to your own records?? (I hope that question doesn't show my lack of intelligence and/or culture :-)

I'm sorry that you've been having such a hard time lately.....

I can't believe that you can't get a copy of your own MRI, what is your GP's reason for this?  I mean, we all have rights as patients to see what is going on in our own bodies, don't we?
Wow, that's just unbelievable to me.....

Sorry I can't offer you any info about your other report....
I hope you feel better soon, Sheila....and I hope you can get a copy of your own report...
