leg pain

I'm not sure how to ask this question corretly so please bear with me. About 2 months ago I noticed a burning feeling in my upper left thigh. Slowly it became the whole leg and all the muscles in that leg are extremly tight and sore. In the mornings it takes me awhile to be able to bend the leg to get out of bed. And it never lessens up ever. the more i walk the  tighter the muscles get, if thats possible, and hurts bad. Some of you know me from posting before. I am diagnosed with ms by the state disablility doc but my neurologist wont accept that. He still wants to wait and see. Also i cant get a different neuro because of having a medical card. I have tried.  Anyway what is causeing this any ideas? Thanks

has anyone done an MRI?  to look for lesions?  blood tests?  There are a lot of diseases that mimic MS.

Good luck and keep looking, don't accept a dx quite yet, especially when the doctors disagree.  One is right and one is wrong, just which one.

I've had the same problems with my left leg.  My muscles are close to atrophy. I just had surgery on my left knee yesterday, because my knee has a huge knot on it and pops and shifts that can be felt on the outside.

I had an EMG prior to surgery to make sure it wasn't a nerve thing.  Have you had one?  Are you on a muscle relaxant and/or nerve pain med?

I feel your strife. I struggle every day because I'm a stay at home mom of 3, 2 being young.  I'm also applying for disability.  1 for my MS, another for ocular migraines, and lastly for whatever is causing my left knee and leg problems. There's been discussions about RA, but after yesterday I believe it was ruled out.

What exactly is your neuro waiting for?  If you don't like him or her you can always get a second opinion. I saw four before I settled on one.  Not because of a non dx, but because of lack of treatment.

Good luck on your journey and please keep me posted.  Sorry if I wasn't of any help.
