Hello, LTNS & all to all.  Passing through.  Been busier than a one-armed paperhanger in a windstorm with an itch.

Sick, too: coughing like crazy for 90 days.  Just finished pulmonary function test.  Tech said it all looks perfectly acceptable, although he can't say so officially; it has to go through the channels, of course.

So, what's the problem?  Clueless.  Still.  Again.  Grrrr.....

Visiting MS nurse at Cleveland Clinic on April Fools' Day.

If I am healthy and no new money crises or job offers interfere, we plan to be in Clearwater, Pinellas Park, and surroundings most of next week.

Oh, Karry! That sounds miserable! I'd be inclined to want to be at home too, but do be sure to go back in if need be. It's unpleasant enough as it is, but you don't need complications on top of everything. You're in my thoughts.

I have so far this week managed to end up in hospital for a night which the dictor has told me is bad constipation causing impaction and overflow which now explains why I have been having diarrhea for months. I guess I should learn from this experience that a person who suffers chronic constipation doesn't suddenly miraculously change bowel habbits & to think all is right hmmm.

I decided to come home to deal with this issue rather than in hospital but I'm not so sure that was one of my brightest ideas. I have had nausea, vomiting, severe abdo pain and am so bloated I feel like I'm pregnant. I have been told to just return if this gets any worse.

So my week is looking pretty cr@ppy (excuse the pun) as I'm now planning on taking a good dose of Epsom salts in the morning as everything else has failed.

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far and Saint Patrick's day!

Karry.

You definitely have more Irish in your blood than me! I'm just an immigrant myself, but my husband's the real deal. I actually kept my surname, which is Hebrew. Hard to get confused for being local with that one!

St. Paddy's Day around here seems mostly an excuse for twenty-somethings to go to bars and get thoroughly soused. Lots of other folks are Irish for the day and eat corned beef and cabbage. That's always good.

I have an Irish last name, as I changed my name when I married long ago, and didn't want to go thru all the hassle of changing it back when I divorced after a long marriage. Funny thing is, I am considerably more Irish than my ex, despite names, though a few generations back there are Hays, Shannon and O'Shaunessy. How Irish can you get?

The top o' tomorrow morning to everyone!

There is a parade in larger cities an towns, here in Dublin being the biggest. There's also a céilí which is a little hard to describe. Pronounced KAY-lee, it's sort of a community hoedown. There are also many tourists, so a lot of the cheap souvenirs are worn. No green rivers, though!

I'm sorry you're experiencing MS progression, Alex. 16 pills a day - at least you seem to be tolerating that better. You're in my thoughts.

Kathy have a nice trip. The Xanax should be fine.

Corrie I hear your frustration. I hate waiting for test results.

Imm St. Patrick's Day is more serious where you are. Do they have parades and dye rivers green? Probably not. We get the Dalmations together and march with green on. It is just silly.

Not much here. The PARP medication is better this week. I am getting used to taking 8 pills twice a day. I noticed all the sudden my PPMS is kicking in. I can't walk like I used to. This is my 50 year for MS so it makes sense it would start excellerating.

Alex

Here in Ireland, the national holiday is coming up tomorrow. Holidays with fixed dates don't get shunted to the nearest Monday over here, so that means work on Monday, Tuesday off for everybody, and Wednesday back to work!

The local joke is there's no one left to run the country on St Paddy's because all of our high ranking politicians are overseas doing photo-ops with various heads of state (amongst others... http://www.irishtimes.com/news/politics/taoiseach-to-the-hulk-i-could-take-you-you-know-1.2140835 )

Kathy - Hope the trip goes well. That's quite the drive. Sounds like you have a full week coming up!

Corrie - I hope you get those results soon! Good luck at the GP on Thursday too.

Good luck with the trip and the Xanax. I haven't taken it myself but it seems common enough.

Still waiting on nerve conduction studies that were done 2 weeks ago so I am getting frustrated and impatient.

No appointments on the books except my GP on Thurs. Hopefully he can shed some light on why a hematologist/oncologist wants to see me in June.

Have a good week folks!!

Corrie
