flutterbies in lower back

Ok well it started yesterday, I was driving home with my mom and felt this bzzing sensation in my lower back. Now mind you, my buttock and leg were hurting so bad I could barely carry my own weight (which is a lot lol). Not sure if the sensation came from the pain or if it was something different. I want to say it is like the vibrations I get but it was different it was more like wings of a fly or butterflie but inside my skin.

Does that make sense? Or am I just completely losing my flippin mind lol. I don't know but it was definately unnerving for me. What causes that kind of sensation?

I'll cross my fingers for you that it goes away... :-)  For me, it happens so often that I barely pay attention now.  It mostly is noticeable if it happens when I'm just sitting at the computer or driving the car or something.  It's just a normal part of my shower experience in the morning, lol.  The buzzing in my pelvis finally did go away for me - I only get it once in a blue moon now.....

Have a great day!

It sounds like what I get on the left side of my back - it feels like bugs crawling up and down my back.  I get it almost all the time after I take a shower or if I get overheated for any reason, and then at seemingly other random times here and there.  It's like someone draws a line down the center of my back, and it's only ever on the left - never the right.  I sometimes get the buzzing in my pelvis and leg, but this is a little different.  It is one of those symptoms that happens all the time, but at least it doesn't hurt - it's just weird ... ;-)

jensequitur,

Thank you, I have had the vibrations before but this was totally new. I will look it up and read up on it.

Buzzing paresthesia are pretty common with MS.  If you're getting them in your lower back, it's possible that you have some problem with the thoracic spine.
