Its Monday - what's everyone doing this week?

With Lulu back at work, figure she will be too busy for this one.

I have a Tysabri infusion on Wednesday (fingers crossed with new meds to help with side effects)
and other than that, just have a bible study group to go to on Thursday and get these 6 milk crates
of apples peeled and into the dehydrator.

That's certainly enough to keep me busy for the week.  Hope everyone else is having a good week!

Hi Alex,
I really hope you get on the feeding tube. Your body really needs the nutrition and it will help give you some strength. My friends who went through chemo did better once they got the feeding tube. I am hoping it will go well for you. As always, my thoughts and prayers are with you!

Sounds like lots of people are taking Tysabri! It doesn't look like my doctor wants to go that route with me, looks like they are leaning towards Gilenya.
I still need a few more tests before the final decision is made. I need to get the chicken pox vaccine on Friday and the eye doctor on Monday.

Other than that, school is starting tomorrow and I feel very weird not going back. Part of me is happy to not be returning to the stress of of the job, but mostly I feel very sad. I loved teaching and was not really ready to retire, but retiring on disability is what needed to be done. I stil feel like that is a major part of my life taken away.

Here's hoping for cooler days!

Stay well friends,

Deb

Alex,

Please get the feeding tube. You have a total of 7 treatments or am I wrong on that? Either way, you've been through too much to lose it all to nutrition. Please consent to the feeding tube.  We need you here!!!!

Many hugs!!!!

Alex, get the feeding tube if you need, too. Both of my parents' had it. It's better than nothing. You will need to keep an eye on your liver and your blood sugar though, if you do do it.  My dad had to start taking insulin. I hope you can get stronger physically. How many chemos are you having - 6 all together?

I'm trying to get used to eating gluten free now that I have Celiac's. Yesterday, it was nice being off. Now I have to work all week...but I'm soooo tired.... And I'm waiting for the GI clinic to call me again since my oncologist sent another request over to them - this time to swallow the camera capsule and I have another CT scan scheduled (but not until the end of Sept).

No doctor's appts set-up for this week. So, I guess I and my wallet get a break from that.

Tuesday 5th Chemo. I am not doing well at all have to have a better game plan with Cancer Doctors. I will even talk about a feeding tube. I just keep up with the nutrition and I will not make it much longer like this. I am to weak to eat or drink consistently enough.

Tuesday is the first day of my work week and I'll get there late. I have to do the recheck on my blood thinner the very first thing in the morning then I have to immediately head to the Neuro Rehab and Balance center for a PT evaluation.  I requested the eval because I feel my balance and strength changing in a not so good way.  Perhaps there is a way to slow this progression or at least learn some ways to compensate.  My gait is pretty wonky right now.  I have a feeling something else is on my calendar this week, but I can't quite figure what right now.

Going to try and get my house cleaned today as it is much overdue! Going to work 1 day this week as well.
I have my repeat Thyroid biopsy Friday morning, not looking forward to that as my last one was extremely painful and ended up with a huge hematoma. Not fun! Hoping we get some answers on that front.
Other than that, just spending time with my new granddaughter.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi there!

Off work today, doing chores slooowwlly today that I put off the past 2 days. Feel a bit overwhelmed w/it all, and my legs are jello, and some new weird vertigo as I roll over in bed at night blah! Not sure what is up w/that. I'm much better when I'm up.

But, other than that, 2 of my 3 back to school this week, they are on autopilot with it pretty much though and not alot for me to do :) with that.

No doc appts unless things progress here. Work will be busy this week, so I need to get back on track. I'm restarting my Rebif today after a months of non-compliance. I need to get my fanny in control of this.

Wishing you all a good week, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Sarah. Apples sound yummy!
(((Hugs)))
