menstration

Does MS temporarily worsen during menstruation. I have my period now and my vision is more blurry, my balance isn't great and the fatigue is terrible. Does anyone else experience this?

A few days before my period, I will have a lot of pain in my legs. It is usually just my upper legs, but this month it is the upper and the lower.  I'm not sure if this is also a problem for people that don't have MS though.  Anyone know that?

That question has been asked on the forum before and quite a few women reaponded saying they do experience worsenng symptoms due to hormonal changes.

Here is a link to old thread that includes 15 replies to your question , includingone by Quix, our retired pediatrician with MS. she said hormones do affect MS.

Hope this helps. Note:Please do not post to the old thread but reply to this one that is already started...thank you.

I experienced this! My big toe and finger tips started to get the tingly feeling every time it was about that time.
I read somewhere that is common due to hormonal changes.
