post face lift drooping smile

I had a neck lift and lower face lift 3 days ago. I am just noticing that the right side of my mouth is drooping when I smile and when I talk.  I do not notice more numbness on that side of my face.  I am wondering if this is a normal symptom for post op face lift.

Hopefully...the nerve to your face is likely affected by the swelling around it and will settle- let your doc know- it is possible to damage the facial nerve during surgery, just depends where the surgery was. Probs it will settle alone. Bells palsy is the other possiblilty - just co-incidential- your doc will know- give them a call!

Hi - you may not realize that you have posted your quesiton in the Multiple Sclerosis forum - MS is a neurological disease that can also make parts of our body droopy, but I doubt if anyone here can answer your question.

you need to call your surgeon and ask your question there.

good luck.
