Well, it's in this lovely forum that we understand all the zaps, zings, tingles and more.
I can SO identify. After a stressful day, when I get overheated, blah, blah, blah...It's sensory stuff. Just happens. See Quix's Health Page:

Ordinary Muggles might not understand!
Yes, I do have that sensation as a s/s (sign/symptom). Usually mine id under the big toe and doesn't lend itself to an indiscreet scratching, at least in public.
Have been told several times, that it is a paraesthesia. Usually when I'm tired as you described. Hope it goes away and doesn't recur for awhile because it's aggravating as since you are reminded with each step.

Yep, that's a symptom for me too. Actually it appears in various places; sometimes the toes, sometimes fingers etc but always at random times and it usually goes away before the day's over. I haven't really noticed anything such as heat or stress causing it but I guess tiredness could well be a factor as I rarely get more than 5 hours sleep
thanks guys, it was a new one for me and felt wierd! Hope everyone had a good week-end
Yep, I get tingling feet every day. Sometimes it also goes up the bottom portion of my legs.
Thanks for the HP! I hadn't read this one and found it really interesting. :)
Just to clarify, I'm still "suspected MS" (and my neuro is in NO hurry), but I get this one when I'm overheated. I rarely have issues in my feet, but when I do, this is it. Very annoying, isn't it?
