strange symptoms

Hi,  I'm sure you get this all the time.  I have an appointment to see a neuro but I can't wait.  last month I came down with dizziness and major fatigue where my arms were so heavy it felt like they were 200 lbs.  This lasted like 4 days.  Then my left leg out of the blue started shooting pain down from my knee to my foot like every 2 minutes or so.  This lasted 1 day.  Then I had a sensation a few times like I had a match on a my thigh.  I was in the car and moved my coat to see if something was burning.  Then a few days later both my legs from the knees down feel like someone put icy-hot from my knees down, they kind of burn and kind of tingle.  Strange this has been about a week.  I also have this icy-hot tinlgy feeling a little in my forarms and a spot above my lip.   the lip has only been like 2 days.  I was also reading about eye pain which i'm not sure if it's related but a few months ago I had eye pain behind both eyes for like a month I thought it was like from being on the computer too much.  I don't know if that has anything to do with it.  Strange.  I'm 34 and I've never had anything like this.  I don't have any numb feeling and my vision is great.  I can't however do the test where you stand with your eyes closed I step back every time.  Other than that my balance is good and I walk good too.  Any thoughts??  I would love some feed back.  :)

Thank you.  I have an appointment Thursday.  I was trying to talk my self into not going.  LOL.  Because it all seems so strange and out of the blue that it doesn't seem real I guess.  I keep thinking it will just go away and it's all in my head.  However my legs are still tingly today so I will go.  Thank you for your posts and the warm welcome.

Hey, Marie. Welcome.

You've already been given good info and advice. If you have MS, you will need a lot of knowledge, and this is a good place to get it. It's also a good place for friendship and support.

Please let us know how things go.

You've described what are known as paresthesias, which are phantom sensations that come from a nerve.  If there's an insult to the nerve - an injury or compression - then the nerve will send false signals to your brain.

So when is your appointment?  As Wobbly suggests, make a timeline of your symptoms, and try to keep it to one page, so you won't scare the doc.

He/she will most likely schedule you for an MRI to see if there is any lesion activity in your brain.  They may also give you a lumbar puncture to check for antibodies in your spinal fluid, and an EEG to check your nerve conduction.

For more information about MS, check out the Health Pages on the upper right side of this screen.

Hi there..welcome to the forum.. you seem to have quite a few different symptoms.. check out our "Health Pages" the link is on the top right side of this page.  It will give you lots of information.

make sure you keep a timeline of all your symptoms to bring to your Neuro appt.  I can't give you any idea about your symptoms... could be so many things.  Have you had blood tests done to rule out mimics?

when you have tests done... ask for a copy for your self.. any test.. MRIs, blood test, etc..

when is your appt?  hope you don't have to wait too long.  Let us know how it goes and check out the health pages..OK

take care
