Hi Q
You are a little star thank u so so much

MS lesions are restricted to the brain and spine parenchyma. It does sound like the neuro was describing a lesion of the upper spinal cord, though his wording is pretty vague.
Q
After reading your other post , my impression and I am not a doctor, is that due to poor quality films , there appears that there might be something wrong within the spinal cord. That is to say on the inside , not on the outer portion of the spinal cord.
If the films were of poor quality, I would think that they might do anther set to clarify things. I would certainly ask my neurologist about this information and ask for an explanation and a treatment plan.
I hope things go well for you.
Ren
Thank you x
still bit confused cause neuro said there was a swelling on my spinal column ( top) ???

According to Dorland's Medical dictionary : parenchyma is the essential or functional elements of an organ, as distinguished from its framework, which is called the stroma.
So the the parenchyma of the cord is the inner workings of the cord versus the outer covering.

Hope this helps!

The parenchyma of the brain or spine is the mass of nerves, nerve fibers, and nerve endings that do all of the communication. It does not include the surrounding layers like the meninges, the ventricles, the spaces through which the CSF flows, the blood vessels, or supportive structures like the tentorium. It also doesn't include the skull (calavarium) or its structures.
Ren was completely correct.
