Are these symptoms of MS?

I been trying to google it but have cam up with nothing legit. My tongue had been swollen since before my first attack 8 months ago  probaly has been swollen a yr or so. My dentist when he pulled my tooth noticed it cause i also been grinding my teeth for a yr or so...and he just told me to try not to grind them in my sleep by getting a guard or something. I didnt really care i had a swollen tongue cause i figured it wasnt that bad and will go away. But now its starting bother my breathing and i have to sleep  or just stand/sit with my mouth open wider to breath regularly. I have a shortning of breath alot about 3 times a day where i have to gasp for air or catch my breath for no reason. Are these all symptoms of MS? I told my pcp about it a couple weeks ago when i told him about the joint pain He said nothing and gave my non steriod drugs and said to take it for 7 days and this is my 7th day with joint pain still ear ringing still and swollen tongue still that he said would make it all go away. Since the drugs didnt work is it the MS messing with me?  o and ps my insurance finally came through after 8 months 2 days ago!! I got it!! Cant wait to get away from these Dr.s i have now!! Already have the new ones in mind was just waiting for the insurnace to make the calls!!! yay!

I just did a search about swelling tongue (which I should have done before I posted).  If you're having breathing problems, you should go to the ER.  This is to be treated like an emergency.  I know you've been having symptoms for a long period of time, but if you're experiencing breathing problems this really is serious.

Erin, I have no idea.  My gut instinct is that it's not related to MS.  I wondering if you have an allergy to something you are eating or to a medication--especially with the shortness of breath.  Your shortness of breath symptom is a concerning one.  I would go back your doctor, pronto, and tell him that you're still having problems.  Maybe you need a steroid shot or something.  In the least, you need to get your doctor to look at what's causing your breathing difficulties.  This sounds serious to me, but I'm not a doctor.

Wishing you a quick recovery--get an appointment ASAP!
