Any advice wanted

I'm an 18 year old International Baccalaureate student, so I have a relatively high level of stress. Also, when I was 15, my half-brother strangled me and kicked me in the spine with steel toed boots. Since then, I have had countless back spasms; at this point, they are caused by me becoming angry, stressed, etc. I have developed ways to deal with it, but it has recently become more difficult to. I have no idea if it truly has to do with neurology, but I've had some suggestions of it. My other larger worry is that at times I completely forget things very familiar to me. The other day I could not remember my girlfriends face, all I could remember was some of how she dressed normally; it took me nearly a half hour of trying to remember to be able to picture her face again. This has been developing over the years it seems; I used to just forget things like what I was just talking about/thinking or what I had just done, which I thought was normal, but sometimes I could have just been doing something with a friend and suddenly not be able to recall any of it. I do not know if it's possibly me doing it to myself, but even my stress levels have been controlled so that I don't have back spasms. Ever since I was younger, I have had random extreme migraines for about a minute where I could not think or do anything as well. If anyone has any advice on my memory, please let me know. It has been worrying me. Thank you very much for your time.

i stronly suggest you ask your dr to refer you for an mri of your brain and spine.  something other than stress is at play and needs to be addressed.
good luck and please keep us posted!

Thank you very much for that, but I do not have access to any extensive care or things such as a mri right now. I probably will not be able to go to the doctor for awhile, but at this point it is just concerning me, maybe out of curiosity. If I do end up going for one, I will inform, but, otherwise, if you have any theories of what it could be, please let me know.
