Anyone have Lhermitte's for YEARS, cause unknown?

I have had Lhermitte's (electric buzzing, pulling, or vibrating sensations in my lower body or hands when I bend my head down) for over 13 years with NO explanation.

No trauma, radiation, vitamin deficiency, etc.; first they said MS and then they said not. Two MRIs (2002 and 2006) showed nothing to account for the Lhermitte's.

Has anyone else had this and did you ever get an explanation? Not one doctor out of the many I've seen in 13 years (GPs, neurologists, ENTs for dizziness and hearing loss) has ever offered even the slightest explanation, they just ignore it. It doesn't hurt but it drives me nuts wondering what is irritating my cervical spinal cord and why it has persisted (off and on) for so long.

Thanks,
Nancy

Thank you... supposedly I don't have any of those. MS is the closest possibility but MRIs don't confirm it, so they've labeled me a hypochondriac, basically, and they won't even talk to me about the Lhermitte's at all.
