Hi there. Shaking could be tremors, spasms, tics, seizures, shivering, trembling, resting tremor, benign essential tremor, alcoholic tremor, Parkinson’s disease and flapping tremors. Consult a neurologist for stepwise work up of these symptoms and diagnosis. Usual causes of shaking are normal aging, stress, tiredness and caffeine. These should be considered though I agree with your contention about dealing with these symptoms and relaxation therapy. However, it is a wise approach to check these possibilities lest an important medical condition is missed. Take care.
Hi Dr Sharma and thanks for your comments. I thought I was actually posting a comment to someone who was suffering from shaking or vibrations in their face but realised afterwards that I had posted a question :-)
Personally I haven't contacted a Doctor, instead I intuitively knew that I just needed to reduce the situations in my life which appeared to be causing stress. What I have discovered though is that, now the situations have all be changed, the stress response still exists. I have realised therefore that this energy tension is trapped in my system & only by taking & creating the space for myself can I actually feel that this reactional tension happens in me no matter how peaceful the actual outside reality. It's trapped thoughts and memories that are causing the problem for me and they are lodged in my system. It feels to me that the outer shaking now is a sign that the once deeply lodged inner issue is rising to the surface & that this is a good thing. I feel that so often we see an outer manifestation of a problem as the worst thing but actually the issue potentially started a long time ago in certain event or series of events in our lives to which we reacted in a certain way. This then repetitive re-action creates a block in us and only over time, observation & understanding can it be released for what it is - trapped energy.
I am intrigued by the number of postings here related to shaking and it upsets me that no-one seems to be accepting of the shakes and instead very fearful, causing the person to react even more and deny how they feel.
I have been quite consciously releasing myself from deep pain merely by FEELING, not relaxing as such but feeling - this is quite a different thing altogether. I'd be very glad to contribute and investigate more with other people to see if this could help more people. It can take a long time but when time is allocated regularly just to feel, I believe that many, many apparent diseases could be eased and released. The body is highly intelligent & is attempting to serve us....we just need to listen more and analyse less perhaps.
I'm not a Doctor, just a woman living out on a quiet island in the Med, going through an amazing healing process which only required my giving myself time and space to feel what I feel - the body is doing the rest by itself.
In tandem to this feeling, I am having to accept that as I let go of the shaking, the pain and the tension, I also let go of the way I react in my life and stop recreating the situations which actually do me harm - this is such DEEP subject and one I could write about forever but it's a subject which is out there and becoming accepted more and more - that we are energetic beings, stuck in certain moulds from which we need to release ourselves via conscious awareness and feeling.
With my warmest wishes
Jules
