yes, I have read all these things but I still am struggling to find where I am with these conditions. I had negative MRI's of brain and cervical and also had some fairly normal electric impulse testing and reflex. Today was weird cause my symptom was pricklys in the legs which caused some weakness there when out shopping. I't scaring me to think I have some infection floating around in my blood that could be fixed if they could detect it.
My Neuro thinks it is probably "post viral" symptoms from my Ocular herpes outbreak but that is only conjecture right now. Paresthesia is also making me cough now when it gets me in one spot in my throat... I know I don't have a cold.
Hi there. Peripheral neuropathy can be caused by nerve compression, entrapment, toxin exposure or inflammation. Associated conditions include alcoholism, autoimmune disorders like guillain barre syndrome, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, lyme disease etc. Motor weakness, cramps, spasms are associated with motor damage and sensory nerve damage produces tingling, numbness and pain which is burning, electric like or extremely sensitive to touch. Diagnosis is by nerve conduction velocity, EMG, EEG and imaging like MRI spine etc. Take care.
