Smelling Chemicals

For the past 2 years I have been smelling heavy chemicals on certain people. It's a combination of mothballs, turpentine, and bleach smells - and so far I only smell it on my 11 year old son (even right after he's taken a shower!) and a co-worker (a very active/healthy man). No one else can smell it and but is so overpowering for me that I have to walk away and remove myself from the area. It makes me feel horrible because my little boy doesn't understand why I sometimes leave the room when he enters and again, no one else can smell it so everyone thinks I am nuts! This is real and I need some answers - please!
