This discussion is related to CONTINUOUS BRUISE LIKE PAIN ON THE SKULL.

I experienced this as well.  Doctors originally thought it was due to me possibly grinding my teeth at night, as the jaw muscles apparently extend on top of your head.  After sleeping with a mouthguard, nothing improved.  I happened across an article indicating that Sucralose (aka Splenda) can cause these symptoms.  After thinking about it, I had started drinking a lot of Gatorade's G2 product right before the symptoms occurred with me.  G2 has sucralose in it, and I immediately cut it out of my diet.  Symptoms started tapering off after about 24 hours, and went away completely after a week.  I'd recommend that if you are drinking/eating anything with sucralose and/or aspartame in it, that you do some research on the side effects of  both of these products.  You may also want to consult a dietician.

Hi bshah,

It is quite possible that the pain in the middle portion of skull is due to TMJ. TMJ occurs in people who have a habit of chewing gum or who tend to clench their teeth.
Other possibility in your case can be high BP. Is your BP adequately controlled?
It is important to rule out intracranial causes of pain like brain tumor or aneurysm although your CT results have been negative. So please go ahead and get it done.
