Diffuse Cerebellar Attrophy-4.8 yrs SON

All his reports are normal like Vit B12, Vit-E, TSH etc... also one of doctor given 7-8 does of Vt B12 but there were no improvement in his conditions.

I will be hilghly obliged if someone can help me on this. AS MY SON IS GOING IN THE SITUTATION AND I CAN NOT DO ANYTHING.............................

Hello Doctor, Thanks for your valuable time.
I did discuss with Doctors in AIIMS (New Delhi) and they did all kind of medical examination but not able to diagnose anything in last 2 years. Now they said that they can not do anything. So I have to just wait and watch more worst conditions of my SON. As his conditions are going worst day by day.. I have all reports scanned copied and medical history IF you suggest I can send you them IF you get some time and help in this.
I will be highly obliged.
Thanks a lot once again.

Hi there!

Diffuse cerebral atrophy could occur due to a few causes such as primary neurological conditions, intrauterine infections, hypoxic ischaemic injury, metabolic syndromes etc. While metabolic syndromes associated with vitamin B12 deficiency could also present similarly, there is no cure for the condition and management is largely rehabilitative. It would be best to discuss the situation, the suggested management plan and the expected prognosis in detail with his treating neurologist.

Take care!
