Back after so many years of twitching

Hi everyone. I posted here many years ago when I was in my twenties. I’m now 46 and am terrified again  of what is happening. All this time I’ve managed to move on and live my life regardless of the 24/7 calve twitching but as of this last February following a sever e Covid infection things have changed.
Since this my twitching has increased again all over but with a very specific hot spot in my right hamstring that has been relentless! In addition, my right thigh/quad has been “stiff” feeling with increased pain when I put any type of resistance on the leg. I feel as if my right leg is weaker as well. I can still lift with it but it’s harder to do and doesn’t feel as “sturdy”? As the left leg. You maybe saying to yourself this guys been twitching his whole life why not just ignore it. And I would but something is different now. I think there is also some atrophy or muscle flattening in the right as compared to the left. Im measuring it and my right is still the same size from a measurement perspective but this is really affecting my quality of life. It’s consumed me again! After all these years. I really don’t know what do. I’m going through the doctors orders, bloodwork, mris and off to a neurologist again. Ugh! I can’t believe this is all happening again to me!

Hello and welcome back. So sorry that things have changed for the worse. That's hard emotionally as well. You know yourself best and if you feel something has shifted or changed, you will know before any test shows it. Please let us know what testing you are doing and what your doctor says and we'll go from there and try to help support you.

Thanks! So far Lumbar MRI was done with initial bloodwork. MRI just showed diffuse facet joint arthritis no pinched nerves :( I’m waiting for the additional bloodwork to come back that I just had.
