I to have these twiches or body convulces ora body random moves on its own like I have no control it. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat..this year i was diagnosed with ADD. I have had 8 different surgies over a 42 year old span. And a doctor evaul, I had high BP..so they EKG'd me..then said I should go the hospial (mind you I felt fine)..I get there, they run test, get blood work done. Not much they can tell me. Saw cardiologist after an Echo cardiogram which prompted a cardiologist to take a look. I was told I was AFIB and besides meds I would get a cardioverson o fix me so my hearts rhythm would be normal. It failed, but during the procedure, they examined me and think I have sleep apnea. Again, all new news to me..so I will have a study done to see., Anyway back to these twitches..I never noticed them before, but since having all this stuff done..i have now taken notice and it seem I get them kinda frequently. Is this a sign of the shakes in my older age? Sort of lik Michael J. Fox?..and help would b appreciated..see doctor again tomorrow..so email me dy.planemech.***@****, kik me lojax79, or here I suppose
I have asked him about dreaming and sometimes he thinks he is and other times, not or doesn't know. I had thought about that too.
Have you asked him what he is dreaming? My husband is 39 and does this sometimes. Sometimes he startles me awake. The dog does it, too, when she's dreaming, so that's what I thought it might be.
Thanks very much for the suggestions. We will try them and hope they will help.
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
There is a possibility that this twitching is just a temporary thing and will go away on its own as it can be simply due to stress and strain.
Other possibilities can be too much of caffeine, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia.
Since he has recently stopped alcohol consumption, the twitches could also be a sign of alcohol withdrawal.
Alcohol withdrawal can cause night time twitching, night sweats and nervousness. Hot packs, massage, drinking tonic water, fruit juices rich in potassium will help him with his symptoms.
