Untreated Craniosynostosis, what to do?

I was born with metopic craniosynostosis in 1995. When I came out of the womb I had the signature cone on my forehead to the right. The doctors told my mother this was normal and would smooth itself out, no further evaluation took place. Fast forward 20 years later and my face is uneven, I have a persistent metopic suture, and my self esteem is shot. I was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder in eighth grade and have constant anxiety about what others think of my head and face, it is currently so bad that I cannot leave my house to go to work. My questions are; is there an operation I can undergo to fix my skull/face, and, is this an example of negligence on behalf of the doctors? This is becoming way too much for me to handle.

Hello SquidBuck! Your post was last year and Im writing to you 2017. Hopefully youll be able to see this.

My name is Denis, 27 years old and living with untreated craniosynostosis.
There are cranifacial doctors who will perform surgery on the face. Its rare for neosurgeon to perform surgery on an untreated cranio head bc of the highly risk. There ARE few who will but I havent found a doctor yet.
Hang in there. I know the exact experience youre going through because Ive been there. Life ***** and its hard living with untreated cranio. Ive dealt with 17 years of depression and am still dealing with anxiety. But life gets better i promise. Its been about 3 years that I dont have depression and my anixety level is minimal compared to 2 years ago.
